L'arte sa nuotare!

Finalmente!!!

Outdoor Festival - Martha Cooper

For English Version Scroll down :)

Bansky - Street Art

For English version scroll down :)

ENGLISH VERSION
I am writing this post to answer to my readers: who is the little girl with the balloon on the header of my blog?

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's Banksy: it is English, is a writer, yes Sir, he writes on the walls! We don't have any picture of him and he is unknow. Over all, it is' one of the greatest exponents of street art.

Street art is a difficult area to talk about, some people love it, some overestimate, some people hate it and some people confuse it for vandalism.
Assuming that  signes on the wall dedicated to ex-girlfriends or hasches on sculptures, are OUT on this area, I love street art!

There is a square, there is audience, there is the message: it is communication, immediate, dramatic and sometimes illegal.
Then everyone has their own personal reasons, Banksy has the Art Activism from his own.

Bansky's works are real messages against social injustice and against the war, often sarcastic to emphasize the critical aspect. They make you think. And then they are spectacular!

He started working in Bristol, his hometown, to arrive in Palestine and all over the world.
His favorite subjects are children, soldiers and rats (rat, an anagram of art).
Banksy sneaks in the most important museums of the world and places his works near those already exposed.
For me it is a communication genius!

In Palestine, the messages against the war are loud and clear, my favorites are these!
Many have been made on the famous wall that separate Israel and Giordania.
Graffitis on the wall with trompe l'oeil effect that show views of peace.

Banksy has also hit in Italy, in Naples! In the old town he has made a Madonna of the Bernini with french fries and burgers in a hand, symbol of consumerism... he was deleted, but fortunately another is still visible and is a Madonna with a gun!

Maybe, most of you know Banksy for his graffiti remake of Pulp Fiction with bananas instead of guns, recently removed from London, thinking it was estimated as an apartment in the center of Rome!

Well, this is a small introduction to the world of Banksy, if you want to increase about it, I leave you some links :)
