FotoGrafia - Festival Internazionale di Roma

Cari amanti della fotografia, amici fotografi e maniaci di Istangram, dal 5 ottobre all'8 dicembre parte la XII edizione del Festival Internazionale della Fotografia di Roma.

Due mesi di festival, in collaborazione con il MACRO, il Museo d'arte contemporanea di Roma, nella sede di via Nizza, con lo scopo di promuovere, valorizzare e raccontare la fotografia contemporanea.

Tema di quest'anno è la Vacatio, intesa come sospensione o vuoto nell'atto di fotografare, come essenza, per capire quanto la fotografia possa esprimersi su terreni non reali anche grazie all'uso delle nuove tecnologie.

Il programma del Festival Internazionale di Roma prevede incontri con più di 200 fotografi, esposizioni fotografiche, mostre in diverse location della capitale e workshop professionali con importanti fotografi nazionali ed internazionali per chi lavora già nel campo; tutto sotto il segno della vacatio.

Tanti i giovani artisti, gli aspiranti fotografi e i curiosi chiamati a partecipare a questa lunga edizione del festival. 

Interessante è la collaborazione con Repubblica.it per un maggior coinvolgimento di pubblico e un concorso per i lettori invitati a sbizzarrirsi e scattare foto, seguendo il tema della kermesse, la vacatio, dal proprio punto di vista personale, politico o sociale.

Le immagini ricevute saranno valutate da una giuria di critici e fotografi e le 3 vincitrici verranno pubblicate su Repubblica.it ed esposte al Macro nell'ultima settimana del festival!

Dear photography lovers, friends, andIstangram,s maniacs, from October 5 to 8 December will start the XII edition of the International Festival of Photography in Rome.

Two months of festivals, in collaboration with the MACRO, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome, in Via Nizza, with to promote and show the contemporary photography.

This year's theme is the Vacatio, understood as a suspension or vacuum in the act of photographing, as the essence, to understand how photography can be expressed also on unreality to the use of new technologies.

The images received will be evaluated by a jury of critics and photographers and the 3 winners will be published on Repubblica.it and exposed to Macro for the last week of the festival!

The Universe of Keith Haring

E' da domenica che voglio scrivere questo post e ci riesco solo ora!

Si, perché voglio, anzi devo proporvi la visione del documentario: The Universe of Keith Haring di Christina Clausen, distribuito da Feltrinelli Real Musica.

E' un documentario del 2007 ma io l'ho visto solo sabato sera, grazie all'iniziativa Cinema al MAXXI e ora, sinceramente, vorrei rivederlo di nuovo.

In due, davanti uno schermo nero, ci siamo trovate catapultate in una New York anni 80 in pieno boom creativo ed economico, tra locali, artisti, deejay e gallerie d'arte. Abbastanza affascinante direi...

E non voglio fare una recensione del documentario, ma soltanto ribadire la mia passione per l'artista più esponente della Pop Art.

Sarà che io mi commuovo per ogni cosa, ma questo documentario è davvero speciale: ti fa entrare nella vita artistica e privata di un ragazzo che per la passione per i graffiti passerà dai muri delle metropolitane ad essere chiamato a disegnare sui muri delle città di tutto il mondo, lanciando il messaggio più semplice e più forte che potesse esprimere: "Mi è sempre più chiaro che l'arte non è un'attività elitaria riservata all'apprezzamento di pochi. l'arte è per tutti e questo è il fine a cui voglio lavorare".

Il documentario mostra proprio come Keith Haring abbia lavorato sopratutto per far circolare l'arte, renderla fruibile e regalarla a tutti, non solo chiusa nei musei ma viva per le strade e le piazze.

Ragazzi, Keith Haring è stato il più prolifico di tutto il XX secolo, se tu gli chiedevi un'autografo lui ti faceva un murale sul foglio di carta... dove ogni disegno è un messaggio d'amore.

Ci sono sue opere ovunque, per fortuna qualcosa anche in Italia: a Pisa c'è in ottimo stato e super conservato il murale "Tuttomondo", dedicato alla pace, sul muro della Chiesa di Sant'Antonio Abate!

A Roma, dove sono più furbi, diciamo così, c'era un graffito sullo zoccolo del Palazzo delle Esposizioni ma è stato cancellato nel 1992 per pulire la città per le solite visite politiche, e un altro lungo 6 metri sul tratto della metropolitana A tra Flaminio e Lepanto, quando la metro emerge in superficie, sul muro trasparente del Ponte Pietro Nenni. Che facciamo lo conserviamo? ma cancelliamo tutto, no!?!

Ma questa è un'altra triste storia.

Ora non vi resta che... una buona visione!

It 's a 2007 documentary but I've only seen it on Saturday night, thanks to the Cinema at the MAXXI and now, I would like to see it again .

Maybe because I 'm moved by everything, but this documentary is very special : it gets you into the artistic and private life of a boy, who with his passion for graffiti will grow up from subway walls to be called to draw on the walls of the big cities around the world, launching the simpler and stronger message that he could express : "that art is not an elitist activity reserved for the appreciation of a few, art is for everyone and I want to work for it. "

Guys, Keith Haring was the most prolific of the entire twentieth century , if you asked him for a sign he made ​​you a mural on the sheet of paper ... where each symbol is a message of love .

There are his works everywhere, fortunately something in Italy: in Pisa there is super preserved the mural "Tuttomondo", a peace message, on the wall of the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate!

In Rome, where we are very smarte..,there was a graffiti on the base of the Palace of Expositions, but it was canceled in 1992 to clean up the town for the usual political visits, and another one, 6 meters long on the stretch of the A line underground between Flaminio and Lepanto, when the train comes to the surface, on the transparent wall of the Ponte Pietro Nenni . Taste of Roma

Pronti per quattro giornate di "gusto" no stop?

Dal 26 al 29 settembre, all'Auditorium Parco della Musica di Roma, accoglierà "Taste of Roma", la tappa romana dei Taste Festivals che ogni anno si svolgono in diverse capitali del mondo.

Saranno quattro giorni di gastronomia con un programma che comprende corsi di cucina aperti al pubblico, showcooking (che solo il nome fa figo), degustazione di vini e un menù di 36 piatti proposti dai 14 ristoranti più rinomati di Roma, il tutto nel giardino pensile dell'Auditorium. Anche chiè celiaco avrà i suoi bei piatti da gustare!

Per l'ingresso ci sono differenti tipologie di biglietto, quello standard costa 16 Euro e si può scegliere per la sessione Day o Night e comprende le varie attività. Il biglietto si può comprare direttamente dal sito e per scegliere il giorno e il menù che vi interessa di più, su Taste of Roma, c'è la sezione programmi divisa per giorno con i vari appuntamenti. Mi raccomando prenotate le attività che vi interessano di più, altrimenti rimarrete a bocca asciutta... per restare in tema.

All'ingresso, bisognerà fare un cambio di valuta, da Euro in Sesterzi con cui comprare i vari piatti e bevande: stile braccialetto dei villaggi vacanze, per capirci...

Sia chi è appassionato di cucina o a chi piace de magnà, con Taste of Roma, potrà partecipare al più importante Restaurant festival della Capitale.

Ready for four days of "taste" non stop?

From September 26 to 29, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, there'll be "Taste of Rome", the Roman stop over of Taste Festivals that take place every year in different capitals of the world.

Four days of food with a program that includes cooking classes open to the public, show cooking (only the name is cool ;)), wine tasting and a menu of 36 dishes from 14 of the most important restaurants of Rome, in the  Auditorium's roof garden. 

For the entrance there are different types of tickets, the standard costs 16 Euro and you can choose for the Day or Night sessions and it includes various activities. I suggest to book the activities that most interest you, otherwise you will remain high and dry ... to stay on topic :). You can buy the ticket on line and choose the day and the menu that interests you most. On the web site there is a section divided  day by day with various activities and menù.

At the entrance, you will need to do a currency exchange, from Euro in Sesterzi, with which to buy the various dishes and drinks:  holiday village style, so to speak ...

Whether you are a cooking enthusiast or you like to eat, with Taste of Rome, you could attend the most important Restaurant festival of the capital.

LunEur - Next Opening

Avete presente la ruota panoramica che si vede percorrendo Via Cristoforo Colombo?

E' una ruota panoramica ferma, quasi triste, simbolo del parco divertimenti più antico d'Europa, inaugurato nel 1953.

Ebbene, questa ruota panoramica ha smesso di girare nel 2008, quando il parco ha chiuso per i soliti motivi economici e sopratutto politici, per me inutili da trattare, lasciando famiglie senza lavoro e un' area totalmente abbandonata e in pieno degrado.

Eppure, LunEur, che prende il nome dal quartiere in cui è situato, l' Eur, è stato per decenni la Mecca dei divertimenti per tutti i ragazzini del centro e del sud Italia, troppo lontani dai famosi parchi del Nord.

Ricordo ancora la gioia che provai quando la scuola elementare di Caserta che frequantavo, organizzò una gita a Roma con tappa al LunEur:  la mattina della partenza mi svegliai con una varicella virulenta trasmessami dal mio amato fratello minore... Ciao gita...

Nonostante ricordi che hanno rovinato un'infanzia e rapporto familiare, la bella notizia è che proprio ieri ho letto da fonte Roma Capitale News, che i cantieri del parco sono stati riaperti per la bonifica e la messa in sicurezza dell'area.

Ora, se tutto andrà bene tra i vari amministratori delegati delle società implicate nei lavori, il municipio IX e le varie concessioni... "Utopia" di Thomas More è più realistico... il parco divertimenti riaprirà le sue porte nella primavera 2014.

Vi avviserò quando rivedrò quella ruota girare!

Do you know the Ferris wheel that you see along Via Cristoforo Colombo?

It 'a Ferris wheel stops, almost sad, symbol of the European oldest entertainment park, opened in 1953.

Well, this Ferris wheel has stopped spinning in 2008, when the park closed for economics and politics reasons, leaving families without work and an abandoned area.

Despite that sad childhood memories and family relationship, the good news is that just yesterday I read from source Roma Capitale News, that the yards of the park were reopened for the reclamation and the safety of  the area.

Now, if all will be ok between the various CEOs of the companies involved in the works, the municipality and the various concessions ... "Utopia" by Thomas More is more realistic .. the park will reopen in spring 2014.

I'll let you Know when I shall see that wheel spin!
